If you’re new to Wolfhirschhorn.org, you may not know it, but you are about to be inundated with some serious cuteness…
Every year at Halloween, our kiddos put on their best costumes and wow us with creativity and inspiration. It’s a tradition at Wolfhirschhorn.org to share our costumes with each other on the website, and in the process raise awareness of WHS — showing our friends and our friends’ friends just how strong and full of spirit our kids are.
Please join in the fun!
Historically, all children who are featured on the website in their Halloween costumes have received a prize. This year will be no different. We are working to make T-shirts happen this year. Won’t that be fun!? Here are a few pointers for the event:
- Friendly reminder, the Halloween event is only intended to feature children with WHS.
- Take a few photos of your WHS child in his/her costume this Halloween.
- Come to www.wolfhirschhorn.org, create a Halloween costume post, and within it, include your costume picture, as well as a fun story, update or anecdote.
- For tips on how to publish, visit this post I did last year.
- If you still are having trouble, email me at anitraschulte@gmail.com, and we’ll work together to publish your picture.
- THIS IS IMPORTANT: After you publish your post, EMAIL ME YOUR CHILD’S PICTURE, CHILD’S NAME and YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. This is how we’ll be sure to get the prize item to you. (Again, my email is anitraschulte@gmail.com.)
- To get the prize, you must live in the US or Canada, or be able to receive shipment to a US address. (If you don’t live in the States but want to share your pumpkin’s pic, please post it anyway!)
- Post your picture by Sunday, Nov. 13, to ensure you get a prize.
- Keep in mind that your child’s picture also will be shared and/or posted on social media, in addition to wolfhirschhorn.org. Your submission gives us permission to share the picture for this awareness event.
- The goal of it all: TO RAISE AWARENESS OF WHS!
The Halloween event gives us an awesome opportunity to extend the reach of Wolfhirschhorn.org. So please be sure to share your Halloween post with your friends and family, and share links to Wolfhirshhorn.org on your other social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, other ones I don’t know about…). Get the word out!
The WHS prize that our 2016 event entrants receive will also be available for sale to you, your family and friends – right as the holiday shopping season kicks off (unless you’ve already started shopping!).
Proceeds from the holiday sale fund the purchase and shipping of prize items to all of the kids featured in Halloween posts. Any additional funds raised go into the WHS account. (We will share the link to the branded WHS item next month in a separate post.)
Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this year! Happy Halloween!

Hi Carmen, so sorry for any confusion! When you are drafting a post, you should see a long column on the right. The alphabetized categories listed there are primarily the names of children who have posts attributed to them. But there is one category labeled “Halloween.” You can select that, for your post. However, even if you don’t categorize your post as “Halloween,” it will still appear in “Our Stories,” which is fine too! Email me directly at anitraschulte@gmail.com, if you have further questions!
