Karson is now 13 months old. He is receiving speech therapy and physical therapy. One of his goals for physical therapy was rolling and raising his head for more than 15 seconds. I’m proud to say that he has reached both of those! Now I can’t take my eyes off of him; he’s rolling everywhere!  He’s doing so good and it seems like he’s starting to progress much faster now. His speech therapist wanted to try to feed him with a spoon and he immediately went to it. Slowly but surely he is getting better at eating too! You can’t put anything to his mouth without him ready to chop down on it, and believe me he can do some damage with his one little tooth. I am such a proud mama. I know that for most kids, these goals are reached way earlier but I could not be any happier that I am right now. When you have a child with special needs you learn to cherish every little milestone.  Also, he has not gotten sick in a while. Last year it seemed we were in the hospital every month because of UTI’s due to his kidney reflux ( and one time because of a seizure ). He’s been very healthy and happy! I hope all is going well with the rest of you!

So true that when you have a child with special needs, you learn to cherish every little milestone. My son also seems to go through spurts and plateaus with his development. So glad to hear Karson is on a super spurt. May it continue for a long time!!
