It’s that time again, folks! Halloween is around the corner. And that means we’re kicking off our annual Halloween costume event.
Every year, when the leaves begin to fall, and Oct. 31 draws near, our kiddos don their Halloween best and share their awesome costumes with us.
It’s a tradition at Wolfhirschhorn.org. You post a photo of your kiddo in his or her Halloween attire to the website, and we all do the same. Then we share the great pics on our social media accounts. In the process, together we raise awareness of WHS — showing our friends and our friends’ friends just how strong and full of spirit our kids are.
Let’s get started!
All children featured on the website in their Halloween costumes will receive a prize. And one lucky winner will win this Foamnasium Adventure indoor play yard! (***BONUS ENTRY for parents/guardians who also post a separate update on how their child is doing, sometime before Nov. 12.***)
Here’s how to enter!
- First, a reminder: The Halloween event is only intended to feature children with WHS.
- Take a few photos of your WHS child in his/her costume this Halloween.
- Come to www.wolfhirschhorn.org, create a Halloween costume blog post, and within it, include your kid’s costume picture, as well as a fun story or anecdote.
- If you’re not sure how to login and draft your entry, visit this post.
- Still having trouble? Email me at anitraschulte@gmail.com, and we’ll work together to publish your picture and story.
- THIS IS IMPORTANT: After you publish your post, EMAIL ME YOUR CHILD’S PICTURE, CHILD’S NAME and YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. This is how we’ll be sure to get a participation prize item to you. (Note: One person will win the Foamnasium Adventure, but all entrants will receive a participation prize.)
- To get the participation prize, you must live in the US, or be able to receive shipment to a US address. (If you don’t live in the States but want to share your pumpkin’s pic, please do!)
- Post your picture by Sunday, Nov. 12, to ensure your child gets a prize.
- Keep in mind that your child’s picture also will be shared and/or posted on social media, in addition to wolfhirschhorn.org. Your submission gives us permission to share the picture for this awareness event.
- The goal of it all: TO RAISE AWARENESS OF WHS!
As I mentioned before, a huge perk of the Halloween event is that it gives us an opportunity to invite our family and friends into our awesome community.
So please be sure to share your Halloween post with your friends and family, and share links to Wolfhirshhorn.org on your other social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc…). Help us get the word out!
After the Halloween Event wraps, we will share the 2017 Holiday Fundraiser item with you. Proceeds from the Holiday Fundraiser support the purchase and shipping of prize items to all of the kids featured in Halloween posts, as well as the great Foamnasium Adventure prize pictured above! (Any additional funds raised go into the WHS account.)
Looking forward to your pics, WHS friends!
