Hard to believe (for me at least!), but Mia will be 11 months old later this week. Since her first – and, to date, only – seizure back in mid-October the Keppra seems to be doing its job; although we still see the occasional twitch or absence, never lasting more than a few seconds.
Between her Nursery, Physiotherapist, Educational Psychologist, Home Teacher, Community Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Health Visitor, Neurologist and Endocrinologist Mia’s diary is pretty busy – but we count ourselves extremely fortunate to have a support package second to none, and it is so heartening to see her thrive and develop new skills every day. She is sitting up in her Bumbo, rolling front-to-back and back-to-front, pushing up on her chest, doing lots of vocalisation and eating like a trooper. She still LOVES her bedtime bath, naked-kicking time in front of the fire, and finds being bounced up and down so much fun that she even indulges her beaming, over-enthusiastic parents with the cutest of giggles now and again.
Mia hasn’t had a weigh in for a while, but I’d guess she’s somewhere around the 11 lb mark. We’re still waiting on that first tooth to pop through and, as I mentioned over on the forum, she developed a major fascination with her hands – although this is getting less and less already.
We are very much looking forward to our first Christmas as a family and hope that all of you have a fantastic holiday and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year when it comes!

Her eyes are so mesmerizing!! Love the outfit! I actually looked around all day to buy something like that for Isabella, but nada! She looks sooo cute… And love the blanket over bumbo (looks more polished:)
Happy holidays Mia!! I’m sure Santa will bring you loads of gifts!!!!
Thanks M, I think Vicki picked up the Santa outfit in, of all places, a pound shop (dollar store). In the end it was a tough call between that and the furry reindeer sleepsuit! Good spot on the Bumbo btw 🙂
Wow! She has grown so much since the last pictures you posted! She is beautiful!
Love the photo! Adorable!!
Wow what a gorgeous picture. Perfect in every way.
I love this photo.. Mia is beautiful!!
When I read about Mia, and some of the other children, I can only imagine what the future holds for her. It seems like she is doing exceptionally well. That support package, and her parents are minimizing the impact of WHS on her life. Mia is redefining the syndrome.
