Today, Kendall turned 4 years old. Clearly, we had no idea what we in for on July 18th, 2007. We can say with complete conviction that things are so much easier now than they have been since she’s been born. With our first 9 months with Kendall being a highly stressful time not having known that WHS was even a consideration, we stressed every second of the day. Once Kendall got diagnosed and we found out what we were in for, it took us about 18 months to get the hang of the change and understand how to deal with the syndrome. It’s still a day to day challenge, but we’ve fallen into a groove with her and couldn’t be happier that she is a part of our lives.

She’s reached some great milestones for her age. She walks and talks, which we weren’t sure she would ever do. Our only struggle is her eating solids and moving her off the g-tube feedings. Hopefully one day, she’ll be completely on oral feedings. This is our next goal for her.

Kendall is currently 24.6 lbs and is 35.5 inches tall.

Overall, we’re fortunate for her health and happiness. She loves school and life. We couldn’t ask for anything more…

Some shots from the great summer she is having.
